BOARD OF DIRECTORS


David L. Clark, Board Chairman
David L. Clark is the President and CEO of Prolexys Pharmaceuticals. Most recently, Mr. Clark served as Vice President, Corporate Affairs at NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a publicly traded biopharmaceutical firm. He also served as Vice President, Operations at NPS and, during his tenure there, he played a key role in funding transactions, investor relations, and corporate development. Mr. Clark also serves as a Director of Navigen, Inc., as a member of the University of Utah College of Nursing Development Board, and as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Utah Technology Counsel.

Robert C. Bowden
Robert C. Bowden was the Musical Director of the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus on Temple Square for twenty-five years. He was also an Associate Conductor of the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He has provided music for many films produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Alicia Bremer, Vice Chair, Publicity
Alicia Bremer is president of Bremer Public Relations, which she founded in 1988. Prior to founding Bremer, she served six years as PR director for Richter 7 and Gardiner Marketing, and five years as PR director for the Utah Travel Council. She currently serves on the boards of the Deseret Foundation of Intermountain Health Care, and the American Cancer Society, Utah division. Her previous board involvement has included the MountainWest Capital Network, the Foundation Board of Westminster College, Utah Symphony, Salt Lake Chamber and Ballet West.

Lynn DeBry, Vice Chair, Finance
F. Lynn DeBry is a retired partner of the international accounting firm KPMG LLP where he worked for 31 yeas. After retirement, he worked as a part-time CFO for an information technology company. He currently serves on the Board of ZARS Pharma and the Utah Chapter of the NACD. He previously served on the board of directors of First USA financial Services, Inc., Utah Boys' Ranch, Utah Technology Council and the Wayne Brown Institute.

Jon Johnson
In Jon L. Johnson’s dozen years as chief executive officer, EvansGroup tripled in size and stature from a regional advertising agency in 1986 to become one of the nation’s top 35 marketing communications firms. In 1998, Johnson negotiated the sale of EvansGroup to Publicis Groupe, the 4th largest advertising/marketing agency in the world. He founded JLJ Consulting LLC in 2002 providing high-level consulting services to advertising, public relations and direct marketing agencies. In that capacity, he has worked for many domestic and global organizations. He has served as a member of the Utah Opera’s board of trustees and is presently on the board of trustees of the Crimson Club, the athletic booster organization for the University of Utah.

Barbara K. Polich, Secretary of the Corporation
Barbara K. Polich is a partner in the Litigation Department of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews, and Ingersoll, LLP. She is an active member of the Utah State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Ms. Polich was named Lawyer of the Year in Private Practice by the Federal Bar Association, Utah Chapter, in 1994. She presently serves as Vice-Chair of the University of Utah College of Nursing Development Board, is a member of the executive Committee of the University of Utah’s Health Sciences Advocates, and is a member of the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts Advisory Board.

Ruth S. Vorwaller, Vice Chair, Development
Ruth Vorwaller has been an ardent supporter of the arts for many years. As a professional and as a volunteer, Ruth has been involved in promoting, organizing and managing major commercial, social, arts, and fundraising events in Chicago and SLC. As member of the board of directors of the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago Ill., Ruth chaired financial planning, fundraising events and development efforts. Ruth is currently serving the Utah Symphony and Opera as the Social/Inside Opera Chair. She has also created the Volunteer Network, a service organization that has contributed thousands of hours toward the success of both the Symphony and Opera. Ruth holds a degree in business management and she is listed in the National Register of Who’s Who in Executives

Jeremy Lunt, President

Christine J. Clark, Managing Director
Christine is a native of Salt Lake City who received a BA in Music Education from BYU and a Masters of Choral Conducting from the University of Utah under Dr. Brady Allred. Christine has extensive experience as a member of many fine university and community choral groups including the University of Utah A Cappella Choir under Newell Weight, the Utah Symphony Chorus under Ed Thompson, and the internationally recognized University Singers under Brady Allred. She has directed choirs at the University of Utah, LDS Business College, and LDS Institute of Religion and has accompanied scores of choral performances, soloists, and master class students as both a pianist and organist.

Christine has served as Sub Dean of the Salt Lake Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, holding a CAGO certificate from the national organization. She also served as a guest organist on Temple Square for two years, performing dozens of recitals on the world famous Tabernacle Organ. Christine was named Managing Director of the Salt Lake Choral Artists in September of 2005. She and her husband David are the parents of six children and six grandchildren.

ARTISTIC DIRECTORS


Brady R. Allred, Artistic Director

Aimee Frederick, Assistant Director
Aimee Frederick is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She moved to Salt Lake City in 2004 to pursue her Masters of Music degree at the University of Utah under conductor Dr. Brady Allred. While at the University of Utah, she was a teaching assistant for the A Cappella Choir and Women’s Chorus, and participated in the acclaimed University of Utah Singers. Before she moved to Utah, Aimee taught middle school and high school choir for three years and was an assistant conductor of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh. For two summers Aimee has been a teacher at the New York State Summer School for the Arts. Last year she was a member of the adjunct faculty at Salt Lake Community College. This past summer Aimee helped launch the first Summer Choral Institute with the SLCA. She currently teaches at Nibley Park Elementary School, maintains a voice studio, and has been the assistant director of SLCA since 2004.

Laurel Hendriksen Enke, Accompanist
Laurel Hendriksen Enke studied piano performance under Gladys Gladstone at the University of Utah. Her other teachers included Dr. Bonnie Winterton and Dr. Paul Pollei. She has won top prizes and enjoyed success in many competitions and performances throughout the Western United States. With over 30 years of study, performance, competing, and teaching, she has had many opportunities to collaborate with some of the finest local musicians. Her skills are in high demand to accompany and coach instrumentalists, vocalists, and choral groups in all types of venues. She and her husband Greg are the parents of four very musical children.
