Welcome!

Salt Lake Choral Artists (SLCA) is a community choir that consists of five groups - a large concert choir of 150 voices, a chamber choir of 57 voices, the Salt Lake Vocal Aritsts consisting of 40 voices, a children's choir of 70 voices, and a women's choir of 47 voices. SLCA offers four or five concerts every season, performed in the Libby Gardner Concert Hall at the University of Utah.

SLCA continues a tradition of superb choral singing that began as the Jay Welch Chorale, one of the Wasatch Front's most popular choirs for over 20 years. Dr. Brady R. Allred was appointed as artistic director in the summer of 2004 and the organization took on a new mission and name.   Learn more

What people are saying about the SCI:

Many thanks to Dr. Allred and the SCI staff for making my first experience with the Summer Institute so personally rewarding for me. Encouraged by a friend to participate, I was skeptical that I could keep up. Not only did Dr. Allred make it possible for me to learn the music, he also passed along so much joy in the experience that I loved every minute. Thanks to everyone for making this program available. I have enrolled two nine year old grandsons (one flying in from Maine tonight, and the other coming from WA state) in session IV and myself in the companion adult program. So I will see you again in July.
Sincerely,
Joan Gordon (Age 74)
